Most of his clients are going through acute trauma, whether they realize that or not. He makes a considerable effort to try and understand what his client is going through so he can help them tailor solutions for themselves and their families.

Michael practices all areas of family law, but a considerable amount of his practice is dedicated to protecting the LGBTQ+ community. He considers fighting for equality of the LGBTQ+ community to be his life's work, which is what initially led him to start practicing family law. He is a two-time chair of the LGBT Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, a former board member of the Dallas LGBT Bar Association, former pro-bono counsel of GALA North Texas, and DFW Trans Kids and Families.
Michael is an avid cook and wine expert who loves to travel. He is an artist and paints large portraits primarily using word art and conceptualism. Michael loves the outdoors and regularly goes backpacking and kayaking. His favorite thing is to spend time with his family.
